The Japan Society of Fairfield County will host Catherine as she chronicles the bravery and resilience of the young Japanese American women of Mills College who wrote to President Aurelia Henry Reinhardt from their simple, tar- paper barracks all the while envisioning that future day of radiant peace. Day of Remembrance marks the anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066 which led to the incarceration of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans.
